Oregon School Personnel Association
Scholarship Information

The purpose of this scholarship is to promote quality candidates in the field of education. Naturally, it is the hope of the Oregon School Personnel Association (OSPA) that the recipient will enter the ranks of Oregon educators.

Applicant must be (1) and Oregon resident, (2) ready to begin the final year of a program leading to a teaching license, and (3) attending an Oregon accredited college or university. The scholarship is in the amount of $1,500.00 and will be paid directly to the college or university attended by the scholarship winner.

Applicants must be submitted by May 1 of each year. The applicant will be screened by a committee of OSPA members. The winner of the scholarship will be notified by mail.

Grade point average, activities, information regarding student need, and a personal statement explaining the student's reason for entering the field of education will be considered in determining the scholarship award.

An alternate will be selected. If the original scholarship recipient is unable to attend school the following year, the alternate will be awarded the scholarship.
